Sorry guys this week is going to be hella crazy

I have a friend getting married Saturday, and there is SO much I have to get done prior to the wedding. And getting my hair done and such may seem like every day stuff, but it’s kind of important.

I’m going to the wedding to show off, for the first time to anyone other than family, my weight loss thus far. I haven’t lost that much, number wise, but body fat wise there is a noticeable difference. And I usually don’t bother showing myself off. But I, for the first time, feel pretty happy with myself and how the weight loss is going so far. So, it’s kind of a treat to go mingle with friends, see one finally be happy and walk down the aisle, and be there wearing the type of dress that I thought I would never be comfortable to wear before. Before it was long gowns, billowy to hide my body. Never show my legs, never show off my curves, etc.

The dress I have, it is a little big on me in some areas, but because it’s a cute, little dress (kind of like a cocktail dress if I had to guess), and I’m showing off my legs, and letting it show me off in a different way (and I never DREAMED it would have fit me)-it’s important. It’s dipping my toe into the pool of accepting my body and congratulating my work thus far. Even the family here are saying I’m losing my “cheeks” You used to be able to grab and “squish” my cheeks. Now, you’re lucky if you can barely grab them. My face still looks round, but it’s looking a bit ‘thinner’ as well

Saturday is a day where I can just relax. Not be so heavy minded about my IBS, or watching everything I eat (because of the diet AND the IBS), and not feeling like it all weighs me down to where I can’t go out. This week is a chance for me to pamper myself a little, and I haven’t done that in months. The last time I had my hair done, nails done, all that was when daddy died. So in a sense, it’s nice dad can see me all done up again from up above. And hopefully, he’s proud of the hard work I’ve done thus far.

This summer, I’m kicking it up a notch too. Some clients my mom clean for, have agreed that I can come use their pools any time I wish. So my goal is to exercise in a pool, for at least an hour, 3 times a week. I love swimming, and exercising is a lot easier for my body to tolerate if it’s doing something I love. Plus, the pool always kind of took the pressure off my stomach as I exercised (cause when I exercise, certain movements cause my IBS to flare), so you know. Trying to do better here heh.

But yeah, crazy week. I apologize if I’m not here guys. But I promise to let you guys see a picture Sat. :) And thanks to you all for understanding. I know I was gone mostly all last week cause of the kiddo. This week it’s for a friend lawl.

I just bought his ‘voice box.’ An 8 GB MP3 player, small enough to fit inside of him. Actually had enough Coke Reward points to get it. To give him a voice, simply upload the mp3s of his quotes and connect the usb of a speaker to the mp3 player. I’ll velcro the inside of him and to the back of the mp3 and speaker, that way I can easily remove them if I need to upload more sounds, or removal in case my 4 1/2 year old nephew wants to carry him around.

He’s not going to be a highly, awesome, badass prop. He’s actually made with a lot of just craft products, some printables, a tap light, spray paint, a chinchilla exercise ball, nuts, bolts, and faucet connectors. The two guides I’m using to construct him, just to get a bit closer to his ‘look’ I may tweak a few things. One of them didn’t paint his handles (the faucet connectors) and the other one, only painted the connectors of his handles black, but not the actual handle. Also, another just printed out his “eye/optic” to fit around the tap light, but threw away the middle section. Since I cannot find a blue LED tap light (and spray painting the light probably wouldn’t work either?), I’m going to save that middle part that the one guy just threw away, and glue it to the front of the light. That way, when I turn it on, hopefully, the blue hue of the printed pupil I guess I’ll call it, will shine through blue, despite the light behind it actually being white.

If that makes sense. So yeah. He may be a slow construct, since I don’t have much income coming to me atm. Also, the only help I’ll be getting on the entire thing is having someone drill the holes I need to connect the handles. Otherwise, this is all mine. And I’ll keep you all updated as I continue to construct him. And of course, I’ll take a video of him completely and fully operational. In case anyone wants to see.

My own Wheatley puppet. Using basic things you can find in hardware stores and all. Biggest problem is seeing if Erik or my brother know how to solder iron, for his LED to a switch (for his eye). Otherwise, he’ll have an operational moving eye. The eyelids, they’ll always look like he’s either looking smugly or mad, cause they’re half lidded (and non moveable). Not sure how to weather his look either (I’m not a prop maker) but it’s mainly for show and maybe to just entertain Ethan from time to time.

I do have enough coke points to get an 8 GB MP3 player, which is plenty space to upload all his quotes. And mini speakers that I can plug into them from within. Both SHOULD be able to stay in place if I use velcro on the back of each, and within him.

What do you guys think? Think I should?

I heated up a toaster strudel for him (and he asked me to draw a dinosaur out of icing on it; so yeah, that happened)

But he’s watching Nick Jr, so you know, Dora and the such, and a commercial for bathroom cleaning products came on. And I commented “Ew, look at that nasty bathroom.” And he said, “Yeah, your bathroom doesn’t look like that.” I tell him “It’s because I like to be clean” (cause seriously, I’m kind of OCD about certain things and my cleaning methods (or germs for that matter). And he goes, “You must spit shine” (Which, I didn’t know the kiddo knew anything about spit shinning. Must have been a “military” thing my brother discussed with him; my brother is a big history/military buff), and I told Ethan, “Well not necessarily, but if I have to, yeah, I guess I do use spit shine” (just to joke around), and he goes, “Ewww Auntie, I wasn’t saying that was a good thing!” and it just had me on the floor laughing.

That kid-he just warms my heart.

The other day, he was saying how awesome it would be if he could be in my wedding and if I could give him some awesome cousins to play with. My 4 1/2 year old nephew even knows how I am not married yet nor have my own kids. Kind of pathetic of me but it just warmed my heart-how much he cares. And he’s been sneaking little kisses here and there whenever he can.

When he first started to come around, he was so so shy around me, and I wondered if we’d ever have a relationship. Now, it really feels awesome how much I matter in his life. That’s kind of the silver lining to losing my father. We were able to correct his mistakes (and lies), and get my brother back in my life (which is such a relief; since he’s the only man in my life now-since dad is gone), and we have Ethan in our lives now.

And sorry for all the talk about my nephew. I guess because I’m unsure if I can have my own children, just makes my nephew all that much more special to me. He’s kind of like my child too. And I like to brag.
